PerformTech Names Betsy McGarry to New Position As Logistics Manager
Alexandria, VA, August 25, 2008. PerformTech Inc., a leading provider of training and educational solutions, announced today that Betsy McGarry has been named Logistic Manager – a new position created in response to the rapid growth of the company over the past two years in the logistics arena. Ms. McGarry, who until recently served as the Logistics Coordinator for PerformTech, will manage a division responsible for maintaining the schedules for courses being delivered to clients worldwide, coordinating the required resources for each course offering, and verifying schedules and travel for all instructors. These courses include twelve highway engineering courses PerformTech offers under contract to the National Highway Institute as well as Anti-Terrorism Training on behalf of the State Department.
The Training Logistics Division Ms. McGarry manages is also responsible for handling conferences and meetings for PerformTech’s clients, in particular for those currently being coordinated for NHTSA.
Ms. McGarry brings extensive logistics experience to PerformTech. Ms. McGarry spent twenty years at Eastern Air Lines as the Base Manager at Washington Reagan National airport. She was responsible for the operation and administration of a Flight Attendant Base managing over 600 flight attendants. She scheduled training, directed and coordinated the planning and scheduling of work assignments, and negotiated contract disputes.
