PerformTech Announces Bill O’Brian as New Corporate Quality Control Manager
Alexandria, VA, November 5, 2008. PerformTech, a leading provider of custom training solutions, has hired Bill O’Brian to spearhead the newly established position of Corporate Quality Control Manager. Mr. O’Brian, a well-known, local editing and writing professional brings over 30 years of wide ranging writing expertise to PerformTech. After continuing to experience rapid growth and increased client requirements Mr. O’ Brian will ensure that PerformTech’s high caliber of work remains consistent.
Prior to his position with PerformTech, Mr. O’Brian served The Washington Post for over 25 years in a variety of editorial roles. Mr. O’Brian most recently worked as Senior Editor and Copy Editor for The Washington Post Magazine where he contributed and developed story ideas, served as a liaison to washingtonpost.com and managed the small copy desk. While managing the editorial page and the letters to the editor, O’Brian sifted through over 15,000 letters monthly, assigned and edited articles, was responsible for obtaining art, designed the layout, and wrote all display type for the “Close to Home” feature in the Sunday paper. His broad experience also entails overhauling content platforms for media platforms, writing seminars for private firms, managing the national copy desk team responsible for the daily national news stories.
Mr. O’Brian’s cultivated writing styles and accomplishments provide leadership for PerformTech by focusing on corporate communications through developing clear, concise, and articulated materials.
