PerformTech Wins Gold in Learning in Practice Awards for Excellence In Outsourcing
Chief Learning Officer (CLO) Names PerformTech in Best Learning Solution Providers
Alexandria, VA, January 22, 2009. PerformTech, a leading provider of custom training solutions, received the highest award for Excellence in Outsourcing. PerformTech received recognition for its partnership with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)’s ‘Factory Floor Training Initiative”.
Fellow CLO award winners include MasterCard Worldwide, ConAgra Foods, Chrysler, The Ritz- Carlton Hotel Company, and Thomson Reuters.
“The Learning In Practice awards were established to recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education,” said Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief of Chief Learning Officer magazine. “The winners are the industry leaders who truly champion innovation and transform it into learning and value for their organizations.”
As CBP’s “Factory Floor Training Model”, PerformTech streamlined the development, deployment, and maintenance of CBP training, in addition to enhancing the overall quality and consistency of training materials developed. In the first year of operation, PerformTech and CBP’s Office of Training and Development successfully delivered more than 50 development projects consisting of 150 hours of web-based training and 1000 hours of Instructor Led Training, hundreds hours of video footage, and more than 20,000 pages of printed training materials.
Through CBP’s use of the Factory Floor Initiative, each of these curricula was developed in 1/3 to 1/2 of the normal time usually required to develop programs of their magnitude. Higher pass rates from employees going through the new training programs was also a huge factor earmarking its huge success.
